Dr. Muhammad Ilham Sheikh has done his graduation in science subjects through Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar. He has done Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from University of Kashmir. He did his post-graduation in Islamic Studies through Shah-i Hamadan Institute of Islamic Studies, University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He had working on the Research topic "Impact of Qur’an and Hadith on the poetry of Shaikh-ul Aalam (R.A.)" and was awarded Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Islamic Studies from University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He has qualified the NET examination five times in the subject “Arab Culture and Islamic Studies”. He has been serving the higher Education department from the last Seven years and teaching under graduate courses of Islamic Studies. He is having two books to his credit under titles “Ethics and Human Rights in Islam” and “An introduction to Religious Sciences, Ilm al-Kalam and Tasawwuf” besides this book, which are beneficial for the students of Islamic Studies as well the general masses. He has published many research papers in national and international reputed journals. He has participated in many Seminars, conferences, workshops and symposiums of Local, National and International levels. He has been active in academics and has been striving hard for contributing effectively and efficiently towards the knowledge domain of Islamic history, Islamic Religious sciences, Sufism and Ethics.
