The author is a Law graduate from National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. Since childhood, he had interest in detective stories. And he would love to watch horror movies very seriously. Sometimes he would laugh, and sometimes he would cry to various scenes. With age, his interest also shifted to espionage novels as well as movies. The Bourne series and The James Bond series became his favourites. Subsequently, he came across many classic movies of the 1960s etc... and he loved the theme of Cold War espionage. One fine morning when he was gazing at a white wall, with a hot coffee in his hand, he was haunted by the idea of writing an espionage novel. Since he was always good in history, he was self-motivated! However, he got inspired from characters like Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Ian Fleming's James Bond and John Le Carre's George Smiley. So, he also created a fictional spy named Vladimir or "Agent Maxim." Apart from the sources mentioned above, he was also inspired by movies such as: "Dr. Strangelove," "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold," "Ivan's Childhood," "The Hunt for Red October," "Bridge of Spies," among others. And thus, his thought process started to create a story out of nowhere. And it took almost five months to finish this story. Although he still believes that it can be improved further and he may come up with a revised edition of this book very soon, He hopes that the readers will enjoy the book, as well as grasp the embedded meanings hidden in the dialogues.
